Activists to protest infront of Downing Street, London, Dec. 15. Localized transport disruptions possible.
Activists affiliated with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party plan to protest in Whitehall opposite Downing Street, London, from 13:00 Dec. 15. Protesters will denounce the ongoing clashes in Pakistan between supporters of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and security forces. Based on similar events, several hundred protestors are likely to take part.
Police will likely deploy additional security measures to the demonstration location. Heightened security, including possible road closures, will likely prompt localized transport disruptions, though no associated road closures are currently scheduled. The event will likely pass off peacefully, although low-level confrontations cannot be ruled out.
Avoid the affected area as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near the protest site. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
