Increased security measures and localized disruptions will likely persist in central Norwich through the late afternoon of Dec. 15 while police investigate suspected unexploded ordnance found in the river near Bishop Bridge. Police have not confirmed whether the device is viable, but controlled explosions could be conducted out of an abundance of caution. Bishop Bridge Road, Kett's Hill, Gas Hill, and Riverside Road are closed. Traffic disruptions are likely impacting surrounding streets.
