Protests to demand increase in minimum wage in Port-au-Prince for second day May 22; violence possible

Protests are set to take place in the capital Port-au-Prince for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, May 22, to demand an increase to the minimum wage, among other demands. Demonstrations in other Haitian cities are possible.
Monday’s protest was reported at the Parc Industriel Métropolitain (SONAPI) in Port-au-Prince (near Toussaint Louverture International Airport[PAP]), followed by a march to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor.
