Lebanon: Severe flight disruptions at Beirut Airport September 6-7

Severe flight disruptions (including cancelations and delays) were reported on Thursday, September 6, and Friday, September 7, at Beirut's Rafik Hariri International Airport (BEY). According to local sources, the disruptions are being caused by a technical system failure which was reported at 23:00 (local time) on Thursday. Middle East Airlines announced it had delayed all its flights from BEY on Friday. Airport officials are reportedly working to address the issue. Further disruptions are anticipated in the coming hours.
