Albania: Opposition protest planned in Tirana May 25

The opposition Democratic Party has vowed to protest in Tirana on Saturday, May 25, to denounce the policies of the administration of Prime Minister Edi Rama. The demonstration is slated to begin at 19:00 (local time) in front of the Prime Ministry building.

Heightened tensions and traffic disruptions are to be expected ahead of and on the day of the protest. The risk of associated violence cannot be ruled out.
