Colombia: Agriculture workers call strike in three departments on June 28

Event

Members of agricultural unions are slated to strike on Friday, June 28, in Boyacá, Santander, and Nariño departments - specifically in the towns of Santana, Güepsa, and Sandoná. The strike is to demand the government debt forgiveness, suspend imports of certain products, and request the state to purchase others. Associated protests can be expected throughout the departments, including in the Santander department capital of Bucaramanga. 

Associated transportation disruptions are expected in the vicinity of the protests.
