US: Further protests planned in Puerto Rico on July 23, 24, 25, 28 /update 10
Protesters to gather in Puerto Rico to call for Governor Rossello’s resignation July 23, 24, 25, 28; transportation disruptions expected

Protests calling for Governor Ricardo Rosello's resignation are to continue in Puerto Rico, on Tuesday, July 23, Wednesday, July 24, Thursday, July 25, and Sunday, July 28.
On Tuesday, July 23, protesters in San Juan will march on bicycles and meet at 19:00 (local time) at the Convention Center. Protesters will likely proceed to La Fortaleza, the governor's residence.
On Wednesday, July 24, protesters in Yauco will gather at the 'Yauco' letter sign at 17:00 and march to the Arturo Lluberas park.
On Thursday, March 25, protesters in San Lorenzo will gather at the Plaza Publica as of 16:00.
On Sunday, July 28, protests and a concert are organized in San Juan at the Plaza de Armas starting at 10:00 and is expected to last most of the day. Protests may continue into the night and may lead to La Fortaleza.
Similar protests related to the ongoing crisis are likely throughout Puerto Rico, and particularly in San Juan, in the coming several days and weeks.
A heightened security presence and transportation disruptions should be expected surrounding all the aforementioned protests. Clashes between protesters and security forces cannot be ruled out, particularly in San Juan.
Context
Similar protests demanding the resignation of Governor Rosselló have been held throughout Puerto Rico since July 13. The protests were called following a scandal involving hundreds of pages of leaked texts between Rosselló and his cabinet members containing misogynistic and homophobic language Despite admitting to writing the messages, Rosselló has refused to resign.
The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has also implicated members of Rosselló's cabinet in fraud, conspiracy, and other corruption-related investigations.
