Zambia: Youth rally planned in Lusaka September 15

The United Party for National Development (UPND) Youth League will reportedly hold a rally in Lusaka on Sunday, September 15, despite being denied permission by authorities over safety concerns. The rally is set to take place at the Mutambe school grounds in Mandevu constituency. Although organizers stated that they intend for the event to pass off peacefully, clashes between demonstrators and police cannot be ruled out.

A heightened security presence and localized traffic disruptions are expected in the vicinity of the demonstration.
