Mauritania: Protest over Franc currency zone and French influence in Nouakchott September 14

Civil society group Urgence Panafricaniste has called for a protest to be held in Nouakchott on Saturday, September 14, to denounce the use of the CFA franc currency and denounce what they perceive as persisting French influence over its former colonies. Protesters are expected to gather at 10:00 (local time) at the BMD crossroad.
