Ghana: Flooding causes damage and disruption in Accra June 9

Heavy rainfall on the morning of Tuesday, June 9, led to widespread flooding in the Ghanaian capital, Accra. The flooding caused significant damage across much of the city, with the Ordonaa, Adabraka, and Circle areas particularly affected. Hundreds of residents are reported to have been displaced by the deluge. The Ghanaian military has been deployed amid ongoing recovery efforts. Reports indicate that at least one person was killed, with more than 20 others needing to be rescued.
