Cyprus: Protest scheduled in Nicosia for September 12

A protest has been scheduled to take place in Nicosia on Saturday, September 12, over restrictions implemented due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. The demonstration has been organized to denounce COVID-19 related restrictions and is being held at Eleftheria Square, where participants are set to gather from approximately 18:00 (local time).

Police have announced that they will be monitoring the event and ensuring that social distancing measures are adhered to.
