Mexico: Demonstrators to gather in Chetumal October 2

A rally has been scheduled in Chetumal (Quintana Roo state) by members of the State Government Service Workers Union (SUTAGE) on Friday, October 2, calling for union elections which have been postponed indefinitely amid the ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Hundreds of participants are expected to march along Avenida de los Héroes to Palacio de Gobierno. The exact timing of the demonstration is unclear.
