Two explosions took place in Kabul, the morning of Jan. 30. Initial explosion occurred in Pul-e-Company area of Police District (PD) 5, in Kabul, causing no casualties. The second explosion took place in Salim Karwan area, when a magnetic improved explosive device targeted a vehicle, causing at least one casualty. No group has claimed responsibility for the blast.
Authorities may heighten security and close roads near the blast site for investigations in the coming hours.

Avoid the area until officials give the all-clear. Carry personal identification documents. Heed all security personnel instructions. Allow additional travel time in the area.
