Afghanistan: Explosion occurs in the Police District 15 area of Kabul Feb. 3

An explosion occurred in the Tangi Tarakhel area of Police District (PD) 15, Kabul, the morning of Feb. 3. An improvised explosive device (IED) reportedly targeted a security vehicle. No group has claimed responsibility for the blast.

Authorities may heighten security and close roads near the blast site for investigations in the coming hours.
