Activists have planned three separate Pro-Palestinian demonstrations in Tshwane (Pretoria), Johannesburg, and Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) South Africa, May 15 and 16. The following events have been confirmed:
Tshwane: Members of the Witswatersrand Palestine Solidarity Committee will gather 09:00-12:00 May 15 at the Israeli Embassy, King’s Highway, Lynwood.
Johannesburg: A motorcade is planned May 15. Participants will depart from Rose Park in Lanseria 13:00, Marks Park in Emmarentia 14:00, and from Mary Fitzgerald Square 15:00 and all proceed to the Gauteng Provincial Legislature on Albertina Sisulu Road.
Gqeberha: Participants will meet at the Kings Beach parking lot from 11:00 May 16 before marching to the Shark Rock Pier.
Although the demonstrations are likely to be peaceful, security personnel will almost certainly monitor the demonstrations. Similar protests may occur in Cape Town and Durban. Clashes between protesters and police are possible. Localized transport disruptions are likely.

Exercise caution and avoid all gatherings as a routine security precaution and to mitigate associated disruptions. Leave the area at the first sign of a confrontation. Check public transport schedules for disruptions and allow extra time for travel in the vicinity of any gatherings.
