Event
Two explosions in Kabul's Police District 3 (PD3) have killed at least 10 people and injured at least 12 others on June 1. The first blast occurred at around 19:00 near the Ahl al-Bayt Mosque, located approximately 630 meters (2,067 feet) southwest of Kabul University's main campus. The explosion was apparently caused by a magnetic improvised explosive device (IED) attached to a passenger vehicle. A second blast, also apparently targeting a passenger vehicle, happened in the same area around 20:00. Official casualty counts could rise in the coming hours. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the incidents.
Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are will likely continue in the area through at least early June 2 as investigations continue.

Avoid the area until authorities give the all-clear. Allow additional time to reach destinations near the incident location.
