Activists plan to protest against unemployment in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, Gauteng Province, South Africa, June 24.

Activists belonging to the National Unemployment Campaign plan to march against rising unemployment and the lack of employment opportunities in Johannesburg, June 24. Participants will meet at 10:00 at the Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown before marching to the Constitutional Court on Hospital Street in Braamfontein. The protest route is unknown. It remains unclear how many participants the event may draw; however, it is likely to be in the hundreds.
Security personnel will almost certainly monitor the procession and may try to break up the march if it is especially disruptive. Increased security and localized transport disruptions are likely.
