Luxembourg maintaining COVID-19 measures as of Nov. 3; entry restrictions eased for vaccinated travelers from certain countries.

Authorities are maintaining measures imposed to combat the spread of COVID-19 as of Nov. 3.
International Travel Restrictions
Travelers from countries within the EEA and Schengen Area and residents of Australia, Bahrain, Canada, China, Jordan, Kuwait, New Zealand, Qatar, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, UAE, Ukraine, Uruguay, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan are permitted to enter Luxembourg. Most travelers from other countries remain prohibited, though exceptions exist for essential work, study, and family reasons.
Effective Oct. 29, nonessential travel is permitted for individuals with a vaccine certificate issued by Luxembourg authorities; as of Nov. 3, this includes EU Digitical COVID Certificates and certificates issued by authorities in Albania, Andorra, Faroe Islands, Israel, Morocco, Monaco, Panama, Armenia, North Macedonia, San Marino, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, the UK, and Vatican City.
Luxembourg requires all incoming international air travelers to present documentation before boarding proving that they have either received a full course of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA), have recovered from COVID-19 in the previous six months, or have tested negative for COVID-19 by PCR test in the previous 72 hours or by antigen test in the previous 48 hours.
Domestic Restrictions
Nonessential businesses and entertainment venues are permitted to operate, provided they adhere to strict social distancing requirements. Facemasks are mandatory in enclosed public spaces and at gatherings of more than 10 people. Less stringent measures are in place for individuals who possess a CovidCheck certificate issued by Luxembourg authorities confirming they are either vaccinated against, recovered from, or recently tested negative for COVID-19.
Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
