Anti-Kremlin protests taking place in central Tel Aviv, Israel, Feb. 26. Increased security, transport disruptions likely.

Warning

Event

Thousands of activists are demonstrating in central Tel Aviv during the evening of Feb. 26. The purpose of the action is to protest Russia's recent invasion of Ukraine as well as Israel's perceived weak response to the Kremlin's military incursion. Demonstrators have reportedly gathered at HaBima Square and along Sderot Rothschild, as well as near the Russian embassy on HarYakon Street.

Preliminary information indicates that significant traffic disruptions are occurring near the rally locations. Authorities will almost certainly maintain an increased security presence in the affected areas until the demonstrations end and the participants disperse.

Advice

Avoid the demonstrations as a standard security precaution. Consider alternate driving routes to circumvent HaBima Square, Sderot Rothschild, and portions of HarYakon Street for the duration of the protests. Allow extra time to reach nearby destinations. Heed the instructions of local security personnel.
