Cuba lifts most COVID-19-related international entry restrictions effective April 6.
Event
Authorities in Cuba have lifted most of the country's COVID-19-related international travel restrictions effective April 6. Under the new directives, travelers entering from abroad are no longer required to have proof of vaccination and do not need to present a negative pre-travel test for the virus. Domestic measures remain unchanged.
Domestic Measures
The use of protective facemasks remains mandatory in indoor public spaces, as well as on public transport. Local authorities can enforce tighter restrictions on business, public transport, and recreational and group activities based on disease activity. Nightly curfews may be in place depending on the province and/or municipality.
International Travel Restrictions
Travelers entering Cuba must continue to complete a health form before their travel to the country. To access the form, click here. Additionally, some passengers may be randomly selected for additional testing upon arrival, and if they test positive, they will be required to isolate.
All passengers must continue to pay a public health tax included in the flight ticket price.
Authorities could reimpose, extend, ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on local disease activity over the coming weeks.
