Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) in San Jose has suspended all flight operations through at least 18:00 April 7 after a cargo aircraft made an emergency landing and subsequent runway excursion. A large number of emergency personnel are working to remove the wreckage; the pilot and co-pilot, who were the only persons on board the plane, were not injured. At least 32 flights have been canceled, with more likely to be delayed. Residual disruptions could extend for several hours even after the facility has resumed operations.
