Unionized activists have launched a protest in Montevideo, Uruguay, June 29.

Activists affiliated with the National Construction Union (Sindicato Unico Nacional de la Construccion y Anexos, SUNCA) have launched a protest in Montevideo, June 29, to demand more government investment in infrastructure. The union is also holding a four-hour nationwide strike June 29, between 09:00-13:00.
Demonstrators gathered at the esplanade of the Montevideo City Hall and are marching towards the Ministry of Economy and Finance, located along Colonia Street. A rally will be held at the site.
