Informational

Event

Disruptions of Air Vanuatu (NF) service to Australia and New Zealand will likely continue into at least mid-April. According to company officials, as of April 6, the carrier was still waiting to receive parts to repair its only Boeing 737, the aircraft it uses to operate routes connecting Port Vila with Brisbane and Sydney in Australia, as well as Auckland in New Zealand. The aircraft has been out of commission since March 31. However, Air Vanuatu expects Air Nauru (ON) to begin operating the affected routes beginning April 8.

Advice

Confirm flights if booked to travel on Air Vanuatu service to Australia or New Zealand into at least mid-April. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed. Consider booking alternative travel arrangements if necessary.
