At least two people were injured on Wednesday, October 21, after police clashed with protesters outside the Embassy of Guinea in Dakar. Reports indicate that Police deployed tear gas to disperse supporters of Guinean Presidential Candidate Cellou Dalein Diallo, who had gathered outside the embassy to demonstrate against the recent election results in Guinea.

A heightened security presence and localized disruptions are likely over the coming hours. Further protests are possible in the coming days. Clashes between protesters and security forces cannot be ruled out.
