A 6.3-magnitude offshore earthquake hit 179 km (111 mi) east of Tadine (Loyalty Islands province) at approximately 02:20 (local time), on Monday, May 20. No damages or casualties were immediately reported. Further aftershocks and associated damages are possible in the coming hours and days.
