Warning

Event

On Wednesday, March 4, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued orange alerts for states and union territories throughout northern and northwest India warning of heavy rain, thunderstorms, snow, and hail. The storm is expected to hit the northernmost territories during Wednesday night (local time) and continue until Saturday, March 7.

Avoid walking or driving through floodwaters; 15 cm (6 in) of running water is enough to knock over an adult.
