Mexico: March for Peace from Cuernavaca to Mexico City January 23-26

Activist groups in Mexico will hold the March for Peace, a demonstration in which participants will march from Cuernavaca (Morelos) to Mexico City from Thursday, January 23, to Sunday, January 26, to protest insecurity in the country. Participants will gather at La Paloma de La Paz in Cuernavaca on Thursday and march to the National Palace in Mexico City, where they are expected to arrive on Sunday.

A heightened security presence and transportation disruptions, such as road closures, are expected along the demonstration route.
