Panama: Protest scheduled in Colon January 7, 8

Groups in Colon have called for a two-day protest on Tuesday, January 7, and Wednesday, January 8, to oppose government policies. Participants are expected to gather in several areas across the city over the next two days. 

A heightened security presence is to be expected, as well as significant disruptions to business and transportation.
