India: Security forces kill three militants in Jammu and Kashmir April 4

Militants engage security forces during search and cordon operation in Kulgam (Jammu and Kashmir) on April 4, leaving three people dead; further security operations possible in coming days

On Saturday, April 4, three militants were shot and killed by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district. In addition, one army jawan was reportedly wounded in the engagement. As of Saturday morning (local time), the encounter is still underway between security forces and militants in the Manzgam area of Kulgam.

Further attacks are possible in Jammu and Kashmir over the near term.
