UK: National Rail warns of possible disruptions due to Storm Dennis February 15-16 /update 1

National Rail officials warned of possible disruptions to train service as Storm Dennis is set to hit the UK from Saturday, February 15, through Sunday, February 16. Officials expect disruptions on journeys between London Euston, the West Midlands and Chiltern, Manchester, Liverpool, Lancashire, and Cumbria. Yellow warnings for strong wind and rain have been issued for the southern half of the country effective on Saturday while a yellow alert for rain will remain in place on Sunday for eastern England. Authorities said that the storm may also lead to power outages and disruptive waves in coastal areas.

The country was recently hit by Storm Ciara (Sabine), however meteorological authorities have stated that Storm Dennis should not be as disruptive as Ciara.
