Nepal: Suspected IED discovered in Kathmandu January 9

A suspected improvised explosive device (IED) was discovered in the vicinity of the Skylark English School in the Tokha neighborhood of Kathmandu on Thursday, January 9. Authorities have cordoned off the area and an investigation is ongoing.

A heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions are expected in the affected area over the coming hours.
