Suspected militants attack security patrol in Baramulla district (Jammu and Kashmir) April 18, killing three and wounding three others; further attacks possible over the near term

Suspected militants launched an attack on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) outpost in Baramulla district (Jammu and Kashmir) on Saturday, April 18, killing three and wounding three more. The attack took place in the Sopore area of the district while CPRF personnel were conducting a security patrol. A search operation has been launched to try to track down the assailants.

Further militant attacks are possible over the near term.
