Rail workers protest against pension reform in Paris on December 26; heightened security measures and transportation disruptions expected

Rail workers from RATP and SNCF have launched a protest march on Thursday, December 26, to denounce the government's pension reform project. Protesters gathered at Gare de l'Est at 13:00 (local time) and are expected to march towards Gare Saint-Lazare

A related protest march is scheduled in Paris on Saturday, December 28. Participants plan to gather at 13:00 (local time) at the Gare du Nord station before heading to Chatelet station via Place de la République

A heightened security presence and transportation disruptions are to be expected around any protest sites.
