US: Super Bowl in Miami (Florida state) February 2

The National Football League's annual Super Bowl is set to take place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami (Florida state) at 18:30 (local time) on Sunday, February 2. Events preceding the game, which will begin on Saturday, January 25, are expected to draw more than 150,000 people to the Miami area.

Significant transportation disruptions are expected in the Miami area leading up to and following Sunday's game. To combat traffic congestion, local authorities are urging visitors to utilize the metro to navigate around Miami. Roads will be closed around Bayfront Park and the Adrienne Arsht Center for Super Bowl events beginning Wednesday, January 29, and continuing through Sunday. On Monday, February 3, approximately 90,000 passengers are expected to depart from Miami International Airport (MIA). Increased wait times at check-in and security checkpoints are expected.
