A bomb planted in a rickshaw exploded in Lahore's Chaurburji district on Friday, November 29, injuring at least ten people. Officials at the Counter-Terrorism Department said that a passenger traveling in the rickshaw had exited the vehicle and deliberately left a bag containing explosives, which then detonated at around 11:25 (local time). Emergency officials accompanied all injured people to hospital. Local police have arrested the rickshaw driver. However, investigations are ongoing as a manhunt remains underway to arrest the rickshaw's passenger.

A heightened security presence and localized transportation disruptions, including road closures, are anticipated around the blast site over the coming days. Similar attacks possible over the near term.
