Firefighters are responding to a fire in the 500 block of East 9th Street in Los Angeles, California, as of late Dec. 2. Reports indicate that the affected structure is a two-story commercial building. There have been no reports of injuries.

Increased security, as well as localized business and transport disruptions, are likely near the incident site. Authorities could evacuate buildings and shops in the area as a precaution. Lingering disruptions are possible after crews extinguish the fire as investigations and recovery operations continue.

Avoid the area until authorities give the all-clear. Allow additional time to reach destinations in the area through at least early Dec. 3; seek alternative routes to circumvent the incident site.
