On the evening (local time) of Monday, February 4, a shooting was reported in the Village de Dieu area of Port-au-Prince. According to reports, gang members opened fire on several vehicles before stealing goods from a truck. At least two members of the Haitian National Police (PNH) were wounded in the shooting. Further such incidents are possible in Port-au-Prince in the near term.

Individuals in the Port-au-Prince area are advised to avoid Village de Dieu in the coming hours due to the likelihood of violence, monitor developments to the situation, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities and their home governments.
