Police confirm traffic disruptions during a scheduled protest in Kyiv on December 17; heightened security expected

Kyiv Police have announced traffic disruptions in central Kyiv as well as an increased security presence on Tuesday, December 17, due to protests against a land reform bill. Police officers have prohibited the passage of freight and special transport through the center of the capital, and have also advised individuals to avoid driving their vehicle through central Kyiv. According to police, protests are expected near government buildings throughout the city including at the Verkhovna Rada building

A heightened security presence and localized transportation disruptions are expected near all protest sites.
