The Lesvos Solidarity Pikpa civil society group has called for a protest in Mytilene (Lesbos Island) on Saturday, March 14, over the construction of a migrant center, and to denounce refugees' treatment in these camps. Participants plan to gather at 11:00 (local time) at the Sapfous Square. Similar protests have resulted in violence in the past.

A heightened security presence and transportation disruptions are to be expected near the protest site. Clashes between protesters and security forces cannot be ruled out.
