Ajaccio Airport remains closed due to flooded runway December 27; lingering flight delays possible over the coming days

Corsica's Ajaccio-Napoleon Bonaparte Airport (AJA) is expected to remain closed on Friday, December 27, following the passage of Storm Fabien on December 21-22, which flooded the runway. It remains unclear when normal flight operations will resume. Flights continue to be diverted to Bastia-Poretta Airport (BIA) with a shuttle bus service put in place to link both cities.
