Tropical Depression Danilo weakening considerably and likely to dissipate Jan. 9 before impacting Mauritius and Reunion.

Tropical Depression Danilo has weakened considerably as it tracks westward in the Indian Ocean, Jan. 9. As of 0400 MUT, the storm's center of circulation was approximately 700 km (435 miles) east-northeast of Port Louis, Mauritius. Forecast models indicate the system will continue to rapidly weaken and dissipate in the Indian Ocean by late Jan. 9. As a result, impacts associated with Danilo are no longer a threat to Mauritius and Reunion.
