Colombia: Police investigating grenade attack in Barranquilla, Atlantico Department, Jan. 12

Reports indicate a grenade explosion occurred near the intersection of Calle 44 and Carrera 40 in Barranquilla midday of Jan. 12. Initial investigations suggest the attack was an extortion attempt against businesses in the area. The blast resulted in at least 14 injuries.
