Chile: Demonstrations against gender-based violence to be held nationwide November 25

Nationwide demonstrations against gender-based violence are scheduled to occur in multiple urban centers, including Santiago, on Wednesday, November 25. The demonstrations are due to coincide with 'International Day of Struggle and Solidarity Against Violence Against Women'. Although the demonstrations are likely to be well attended, it is expected to pass peacefully.

A heightened security presence and disruption to travel is to be anticipated in the vicinity of the rallies.
