China: Bridge collapse kills seven in Tianjin Municipality November 1

At least seven people were killed and five others injured when a bridge collapsed in Tianjin Municipality on Sunday, November 1. The collapse occurred at around 09:00 (local time) in Tianjin's Binhai New Area. The deceased are reported to have been workers who were carrying out repair works on the bridge.

Rescue operations have reportedly been concluded; however, residual disruptions are to be expected in the vicinity of the incident over the near term.
