The Met Office has issued snow and rain warnings for central and northern UK on Monday, February 24. The warnings are in place until 12:00 (local time) for Northern Ireland, most of Scotland and all its major cities excluding Aberdeen, and all of northern England from Sheffield to the Scottish border. Weather officials forecast snow and sleet to cause travel disruptions in the aforementioned areas.

Transportation disruptions, power outages, and other associated disruptions are expected in affected areas in the coming hours.
