The demonstrations have been organized by opposition candidate Cellou Dalein Diallo, who came runner-up in the presidential elections. The demonstrations are being held to denounce the alleged use of excessive force used by security forces during opposition protests following the presidential election results. In Conakry, demonstrators are set to march from Gbessia International Airport (CKY) to Palais du Peuple.
