Turkey: Dozens injured after plane crash-lands at Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen International Airport February 5 /update 1

At least 52 people were injured after a plane crash-landed and burst into flames at Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW) around 18:19 (local time) on Wednesday, February 5. The plane, which was en route from the city of Izmir, reportedly skidded off the runway and broke apart after crashing into a field. As of Sunday evening, operations at SAW have been suspended, and flights are being diverted to Istanbul Airport (IST). 

Additional flight disruptions, including delays and cancelations, are possible at SAW over the coming hours.
