Three people were killed after the Kalehe area of South Kivu province was hit by heavy rains on Wednesday, November 18. The exact circumstances of the deaths has not been confirmed, but substantial flooding was reported and landslides occurred in the villages of Bushushu and Nyamukubi. A number of homes were damaged by floodwaters and the RN2 road linking Bukavu to Goma was made impassable by rocks and mud. Local authorities have appealed for government assistance to aid those affected by the flooding.

Residual disruptions to transport and other services are expected in affected areas over the near term.
