Afghanistan: Explosion reported in Kabul’s Karte Naow area April 18

Suspected improvised explosive device (IED) detonates in Karte Naow in Kabul on April 18; avoid the area



On Saturday, April 18, an explosion reportedly occurred at approximately 11:00 (local time) in the Karte Naow area of Kabul's Police District 8 (PD8). The blast is thought to be the result of a magnetically attached improvised explosive device (MAIED). At least one civilian has been wounded. Emergency personnel have deployed to the blast area.
