Afghanistan: Reports of blast in Kabul’s PD6 November 28

Reports of blast in Khair Khana area of Kabul’s Police District 6 (PD6) on December 1; further attacks possible in near term



An explosion in Kabul's Police District 6 (PD6) was reported at approximately 10:15 (local time) on Tuesday, December 1 in the vicinity of Kart-e-Se District. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the blast. Investigations are ongoing.

Localized disruptions resulting from resulting security operations are likely in the area in the near term, along with a heightened security presence.  


Those in Kabul are advised to avoid the affected area, remain vigilant for possible militant activity, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities and their home governments.
